I love that show so much I was inspired to make cards that are farmhouse inspired. Here are 3 DIY Fixer Upper Inspired Card Projects. Hand Lettered Magnolia Wreath and Subway Tile Card

“Fixer Upper” remodels typically include a magnolia wreath which is why I decided that this magnolia wreath stamp and die set would be the focal point of my card. First I hand lettered a custom sentiment on the inside with these pens. I then made scoring lines with a bond folder on my card base to represent subway tiles (Joanna loves subway tiles for backsplashes), then I added my magnolia wreath. I heat embossed a sentiment in clear embossing powder then blended on some brown ink over top to bring a rustic feel to my card.

Sliding Barn Door Card

I saw this stamp and die set and I had to have it. I stamped the barn door then assembled these sliding mechanisms for the barn door. The die set creates a track. With some dimes and these sliding mechanisms, I was able to add my slider. I realize I forgot my sentiment but managed to add it in behind the door.

Hand Lettered Chalkboard and Shiplap Card

I wrote my sentiment on a piece of black cardstock in white gel pen. It wasn’t thick enough so I went over it with a white paint marker. then I smeared some white pigment ink so it looked more like a chalkboard. I added a brown frame to the black cardstock. I then used my scoring board to make deep score lines on my card base. I then lightly traced over it with a grey colored pencil to create more shadow as well as drew in nail marks. I wanted it to look like shiplap.
