I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this technique before. I’ve seen layered stenciling but not layered masking. This is a technique that may have your recipient wondering, “how did they do that?”
stock here. Then, you have to mask off your sentiment first. I used my silhouette cameo to cut out the custom sentiment mask on my favorite masking paper.
Then I put the second layer mask on of large stripes. For this part, I used this special tape here. I began ink blending one color of distress ink. Then I removed those masks, and covered them for the other color of stripes. Make sure your first layer of stripes is completely dry before you move on to use the second layer of mask. I heat set it with my heat gun to speed up the time.
The fun part was peeling off all of the masks to reveal a fantastic one layer card that is… just lovely.
