For this Thank You card, I knew I wanted to do something a little different and modern. So naturally, I browsed around on social media for inspiration. I found this account on instagram and then immediately decided to follow the artist.
She did hers with watercolor and I thought I could try it out with ink blending. It wouldn’t be as transparent as her artwork but it would ink blending would certainly cut down on the drying time.
I created a stencil out of some acetate and my electronic die cutting machine. Then it was a matter of sponging on the inks.
Then I decided to die cut the work “Thanks” from this alphabet set, and then do an “eclipse” or stacked die cut technique for dimension. I couldn’t resist adding a few of these sequins as a final touch. I trimmed it down and added it to some light gray cardstock for a border.
See the process on my brand new YouTube Channel.
