You ever have cards that start at one way then somehow in the middle of the process, they change to something completely different? That’s what happened here. I wanted to make another galaxy card with stars all over. Somehow in the midst of my ink blending, I changed the colors to a space ombre and then eliminated the stars completed.

I started with distress inks and instead of using the mini-blender to blend, I wanted to use the clarity brushes. Let me tell you, these brushes are a lifesaver on my elbow. They blend ink so easily and they’re easier on your arm, wrist, and elbow.

I went from the darkest color to a blue color, and then blended chipped sapphire and purple in-between. It took a couple of coats to get the color I wanted since I knew I wanted the colors to be rich.

I then heat embossed the circle bokeh stamp as well as the sentiment in the middle in white embossing powder. A fabulous modern card if I do say so myself.  IMPORTANT, always let your ink dry before heat embossing. It needs to be like bone dry.

There you have it, a modern space galaxy card with ink blending. This would be a great graduation or motivational card. Here are the supplies I used.
