Looking for ways to add foil to your crafts without using heat? Here are some hacks, tips, and techniques to using foil for your cardmaking and paper crafts.
A while back, I did a post on how to add foil to your cards with and without a laminator. I’ve gotten lots of request to see more ways foil techniques that require no heat.
For this cardmaking tutorial, I decided to use a combination of craft foil and foil cardstock. Foil comes in many different colors and finishes, and it is one of my favorite paper crafting techniques.

Here I used am embossing folder with foil cardstock.
You can also use an embossing folder with craft foil.
Another way to add texture is to crinkle the foil.
Here I just taped foil to the back of a die cut window.
I then colored the cutout to use on another handmade card.
A glue pen and some craft foil made it easy to foil a stamped image.
I used a combination of craft foil and gilding flakes here.
Finally, I used some glacier paste for this foil effect over a stencil.
